Frosty, snowy salt effects in watercolour

The weather is just right for painting frosty, snowy trees but I will be glad when we get a thaw so I can take Sam out on our usual daily walks. Feeling rather housebound as I am no good on slippery pavements and tracks. It is giving me time to practice my watercolour salt effects and do a new video for my Youtube channel. It’s all about experimenting, seeing what happens and then sometimes finding a nice composition by doing a bit of cropping. As I said in my video it is down to practice and not being worried about the final result. Enjoy experimenting!

Below are some crops of the above demonstration painting. It’s interesting to find different compositions and one might just suit a last minute Christmas card!
